Breaking in Big Brother

Tonight Husband and I left Lucy with Brandon so we could make a quick 30-45 minute trip to Ultimate Electronics to view televisions. It is close by so we figured this would be a good opportunity to see how he would do. Lucy was recently fed and in a good mood when we left.

Husband and I got a good salesman at the store and after some ironic role reversal (i.e. me saying "let's just buy the TV!" and Husband hemming and hawing and worrying) we purchased a new TV and made our merry way home to see how our kiddos were doing.

The first thing I noticed was that Lucy had different clothes on. This was followed closely by Brandon saying, "how do you get poop out of that?" and glancing over at the the baby swing.

Which was covered in poo.

Apparently she did her business while sitting in the swing, and Brandon said when he lifted her out there was poo on the back of her arms and legs. Brandon's comment of "it was DISGUSTING" pretty much sums it up. The girl hadn't pooped all day (which is unusual for her), and she saved it all for the 40 minutes she was alone with her big brother. Oh, and to add insult to injury, when he was lifting her out of the swing, she spit up on the floor. She left it all on the table, so to speak. Or so we thought.

Brandon was more than willing to pass her off to me, and needless to say, a bath was necessary. As soon as she was clean and smelling good and dressed in her PJs, do you know what that little girl did? That cute little adorable girl?

The little squirt made a little squirt. And then smiled.

So I changed her, and five minutes later, Tootie McTooterson let another one go. Let's just say it was not what you would call...dry.

Just reminding us all who's boss around here!
