Quarantine

Last Friday Husband woke up feeling sick. Stuffy head, coughing, sneezing, etc. Since he is the primary caretaker of Lucy right now, we were weighing options on what to do. I had to at least go into work for a short bit to get a deliverable out the door, and lucky Grandma Betty was available to come over. I got up with Lucy and stayed with her until Grandma got there, and then came back home around 11AM to spend the rest of the day with her.

The original plan for Friday afternoon was that Husband was going to bring Lucy to my office around noon, and we were going to have lunch with my brother Josh. Since the goal was to keep her away from the sickness as much as possible, I saw no reason to cancel those plans. So Lucy and I drove back over to St. Paul and had lunch with Uncle Josh at The Blue Door Pub, where he ate a hamburger that had peanut butter, pepper jack cheese, and bacon on it! Yikes!

After lunch we stopped by my office for a little bit to visit, then we went to a local mall to do a little shopping. It was easiest to go to a mall, since I could just pop her in the stroller and wheel around without having to constantly get in and out of the car to go to a new store. We wasted a couple of hours and got some clothes for Brandon, then finally headed home. All in all, a lovely afternoon of quarantine!

(By the way, Husband is much better. He is still feeling some of the effects, but is past the really nasty stuff and back to caring for Lucy. I think he missed her a little bit). :)
