Chasing the American Dream

Most of you know we are looking for a house. This will be the first home for both of us, so pretty exciting, but stressful at the same time. We've been out looking twice now, and have found a couple that could be possibilities, a few real stinkers, and some that are great - but just wouldn't work for us. Out of the possibilities, not one has everything we are looking for, but people told us that would happen. So now comes the fun part of weighing preferences vs. options...can we deal with a single car garage to get everything else we want in a house? Will the seller come down enough in price for us to afford all of the cosmetic updating needed in a house that's been inhabited by the same people for 30 years (and no design changes made in that time?) All in all, nothing so far has really stuck out and made us say "this is it."

We'll keep on keepin' on, and we'll find it. It may be something we've already seen, or it may be one still out there waiting for us. Stay tuned!
