Summer Weekend Warriors 7/6: Staying Occupied

Saturday we had a plumber come out to install the dishwasher and correct some previously unknown plumbing issues going on under the sink. It was a 2-3 hour job, and we quickly discovered it was going to be difficult to keep Lucy and the dog entertained and out of the way. When relegated to the deck, this is the kind of stuff that was happening:

So Husband hung out with the plumber and Lucy and I headed out to lunch and then to the movie theater. Monsters University! It was cute, though as with many sequels, not quite as good as the original. Lucy loves the original and thought this one was pretty funny, too. She loves Mike!

As we were walking out of the movie, I realized a place I had been wanting to try was located right across the parking lot! So we shared a special treat at Truffles & Tortes. Yum!

We hadn't been to church for awhile, so we returned on Sunday and spent a bit of time afterwards catching up with people. Lucy made friends with two great-grandmas, Marcella and Adele. Wish I had a picture of her with those ladies, maybe next time!

After lunch, Lucy painted a little birdhouse we had picked up last weekend at the craft store. We rounded out the day with a LONG nap and some swimming time in the yard. A nice, relaxing weekend!
