Our little bug is one month old today! It's hard to believe it was a whole month ago that we were in the hospital waiting for her to arrive.
It's been a good month, though tough at times. Lucy and I have been learning a lot from each other. The hardest thing was probably the first week when she had to be on the "baby tanning bed" for her high bilirubin levels (jaundice), but aside from that the most difficult times have been during the nighttime when she doesn't want to sleep. Breastfeeding has also been a bit of a roller coaster. It is getting easier though, and there is somewhat of a routine emerging. She is sleeping a little longer at night, and most nights lately I only have to get up once.
Overall it's been amazing just watching her grow and seeing how she changes everyday. She likes to look at faces and lights, and recently she has started having some real smiles, which completely makes my day. She's also exploring her voice a little bit and has a variety of facial expressions which are hilarious. She is a great eater and a strong little thing - she is holding her head up pretty well and when she starts kicking her legs, watch out! I just can't believe how big she is getting. Yesterday I picked her up after a nap and I swear she had grown in just a couple of hours! Here are a couple of pics for comparison - one from the day she was born, and one taken just today. In some ways I want her to slow down, this is already going too fast...but in other ways I can't wait to see what she can do next!

Oh my goodness she looks like you! We need to chat! Call me some evening or anytime on the weekends.... I hate to call new moms- I don't want to interupt nap time for either of you:)
