What A Difference A Week Makes

It's been awhile since I've posted...been busy! Last weekend my parents were here, and this week I had put about 35 hours of work in...by the end of Wednesday (and I even left early for a doctor's appointment that day!) Needless to say, a long week.

Anyway, so last weekend Mom and Dad were here to see the house and for Dad to finish out the 3rd bedroom for us. (He did a great job and it looks awesome). Unfortunately, the weather was cold, very windy and rainy/snowy when they were here, so our plans to grill out were squashed. Dad really had high hopes of sitting out on the deck and enjoying a beer, so despite the weather, he did it anyway!

This weekend turned out to be quite lovely, despite the threats of more rain/snow earlier this week. We've done some shopping and more things around the house, and lastnight Husband and I had a nice evening out with some friends for dinner and bowling, which was a lot of fun. Today I opened the day by going to get some coffee and the Sunday paper, which I read out on the deck. This afternoon, Husband and Brandon are helping to take a tree down at the in-laws, and I'm utilizing the time to get some major organizing done and more boxes unpacked - with the windows open and the wonderful 70-degree spring air coming in. So here's a photo of our deck this week - what a difference a week makes, huh Dad?
