Introducing...Buddy!
Long story short, a different dog drew us to an adoption at a local pet store, where we met this cuddly furball originally coined "Meatball" by his shelter caregivers. We fell in love and it felt completely natural for him to come home with us.
He is a bulldog/shepherd mix and about 55 pounds. At around 1 1/2 to 2 years old, they told us he's likely full-grown. After a bit of a rough first day, he seems to be getting used to us. He has a little upper respiratory infection that we're giving him medicine for, so he hacks and coughs occasionally. He's not a really active fellow right now, but he's very eager to please and likes to be where we are; our little "Buddy." He's stays close even without a leash in the yard, is house and crate trained, and seems to know some commands already. We're hoping he might be a little more active as he starts to feel better (he also got fixed 2 weeks ago) and settles into a routine with us. We're very happy to have him!
