Quiet
Just a quick post - I'm sitting out on the deck listening to the birds, eating my dinner, and checking blogs. It's a beautiful evening...the goldfinches are making a debut and they are spectacular. Love the bright yellow! We're just getting ready to meet up with some friends before our volleyball game and I'm enjoying a few quiet moments. The day was hectic, but this is quite nice.
It reminded me that tonight as I left work I could hear an instrumental version of a song playing in the lobby that made me smile:

What musical is that from ? I can't quite place it...Oklahoma?
Needless to say, a nice little pick-me-up. Just like the little chipmunk that just popped up on the deck, with a grape in its mouth. Just to say "hi, look at me!"

Yes, I did receive your email. Thank you so much. It is quite interesting. I also did research on the Jerome Cardinal to some degree. You said you did also? Why is it that we can't find information of when they moved to MN? We seriously need to sit down with like Aunt Violet or Aunt Bonnie and talk over some things. Don't you wish we had the foresight to do this much earlier. I took my Grandpa White to school with me one morning and he was interviewed by my class ( I think I was in high school then) I had to do a paper on him after that. Do you suppose I can find that paper!! I wish so badly I could find it to reflect on what he shared. I know we asked alot of questions of what he did for a living and how much things cost back then, etc. Oh well, we will leave a better trace of legacy for our children won't we!
