Counting down to 2 years old!
This month, Lucy:
- Pees on the potty! We’re not in full-on potty training, but nearly every time she sits on her potty chair, she goes, and is very proud of herself!
- Likes to participate in conversations. If Husband and I are talking to each other, she can be heard saying “mmm-hmmm” or “yep” at random times.
- Is still trying our patience by being demanding and whiney. But when she’s in a sweet mood, she is soooo sweet. I want to eat her up.
- Has started hitting. I have a hard time with this. This is what most often warrants a timeout.
- says "baseball" when it's on TV (which is a lot these days).
- Has learned to jump, but does it pretty selectively, on her own terms. Like most things.
- Counts a little better, but still misses a few… “one, two, free, sax, seven, eight, TEN!”
- Has a pretty limited alphabet but when she sees letters she points and starts saying “A, B, C…” and says "Letter B" when she sees the letter B!
- Is getting better at identifying colors (i.e. not everything is "blue" all the time).
- Is really starting to remember things. The other day she ran up to me and said “Sunday.” When I looked confused she said, “Little Gym?” and gave me one of her trademark grins. I’ve talked to her about when it’s Sunday, we go to Little Gym…but we hadn’t talked about it for a couple of days. Came out of nowhere!
